Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Daniel was born in Philadelphia, PA. She was a unique child who developed a love and an awareness for the Lord at a very early age. By age 12, she already knew that God had called her to preach and to teach His Word. At the still tender age of 19, her call was confirmed and acknowledged by man. Pastor Daniel was ordained at the White Memorial Full Gospel Baptist Church in Philadelphia, and her ministry was formally born. Pastor Daniel moved to California at age 21 and was a member of the Tower of Faith Church of God in Christ church where Reuben Anderson was Pastor.

Pastor Daniel was fueled with a new fire for the things of God. She began to teach Bible Study in the California Youth Detention Center, Moreno Valley Shelter for women and children, and formed The Dorothy House group home for youth who were transitioning out of gangs. She wanted to pursue formal, seminary teaching. Though that is a path for many, the Lord made it clear to her that He had another way for her. He told her soundly, “what I am going to teach you, you will not get in school, Sylvia!” And God has been faithful to His Word. Prior to moving to Colorado, Pastor Daniel owned and operated a successful business for 4 years and was a member of The House of Prayer Gospel Outreach Ministries and served as a member of the praise team, a Sunday school teacher and president of the Women’s ministry. God has given Pastor Daniel a unique fervor for biblical studies and uniquely opens her understanding as He teaches her of His Word. Her love for the Word of God is infectious and challenges others to seek a greater relationship with God through study. She is also gifted in dreams and the interpretation of dreams.

She is a woman ready to fulfill her purpose in God. She is supported by her devoted husband of 21 years, Robert Daniel, and is a loving mother and grandmother. She is currently co-Pastor of “Strait is the Gate Ministries” along with her husband Pastor Robert Daniel.
